Pearl rice ball recipe:
(Very traditional dish for Chinese New Year)
The method is simply. First of all, mix the meat, cornstarch, dried shrimps, egg white, salt and sugar together, then making meatballs, after that, put the meat balls in to glutinous rice( soak the glutinous rice in water for at least 2-4 hours), place the meatballs on a heatproof dish ½ to 1 inch apart. Place the dish on a rack in a pot, cover, and steam over boiling water foe between minutes. Then you’re done. It’ simple, and easy.
1/3 cup Glutinous rice
100g Ground pork
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 tbsp Dried Shrimps
½ egg white
½ tsp salt ( or to taste)
⅓ tbsp sugar
