3. Why is there a difference
I did a survey and 54% of people that play sports that took my survey are girls and 46% are boys. But of the people that took my survey, there was an equal amount of boys and girls that play soccer, 11. 
In 2006 there was a big survey and there were 26 million female professional soccer players and 239 million male professional soccer players 
More people just watch Male professional soccer instead of Female professional soccer. In 2015 around 32,600 people attended each game of the USA men's national team and only 25,900 people attended each USA women's national team game.

4. Why is there a dif. Continued
The men's team successfully made a deal with FIFA in 2015 for a pay raise. But the women's team never re made their Collective Bargaining Agreement, so they can't do things like go on strike to get better payment. 
They filed a lawsuit in 2015 but things are still not yet equal. The lawsuit complained that they received a quarter of the payment that the men do. ESPN got this quote: "In early January, the Women's National Team Players Association submitted a reasonable proposal for a new CBA that had equal pay for equal work as its guiding principle," Kessler said in the statement. "U.S. Soccer responded by suing the players in an effort to keep in place the discriminatory and unfair treatment they have endured for years."

David Bingham, the USA men's team goalkeeper has a salary for MLS of $71,000 
The men's team lost in the round of 16 and they were awarded $9 million by FIFA.
Marta Vieira, another Brazilian soccer player has 104 international goals and her salary is $400,000.
Hope Solo, the USA women's team goalkeeper has a salary for NWSL of $54,000
For winning the World Cup, the women's team took home $2 million.
