1 Pleasant Valley 3rd and 4th Grade
Ski Club

2 Equipment No wrist guards available for rent
Helmets available for a one-time $30.00 rental fee Equipment cannot be taken on bus to school $10.00 replacement fee for lost tags Students must have gloves/mittens, hats and snow pants Label all belongings If student loses something, students see me in the morning or send me an and I will check lost and found bucket If student forgets gloves, usually have a supply of extra in lost and found bucket

3 Schedule Bus pickup: PVE 3:45 p.m. PVI 4:00 p.m.
Arrive at Blue Mountain 4:30 p.m. Lessons 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. Board bus 7:00 p.m. Bus to PVI arrives at 7:30 p.m. Stations: students progress individually based on skills acquired Free ski available to practice what was taught at station All students get picked up at PVE including Polk and PVI students Bus times will vary Students will have a chance to free ski for ½ hour after lesson, chaperoned by me PVE students not on parent pickup will pick up book bags in front conference room All others’ bookbags on bus Cafeteria for quick snack – be sure student money is zipped in pockets PVE snacks can be eaten on bus due to time limit

4 Procedures Before School Check In Students report to gym
Parent pickup notes are handed in Equipment is brought to gym for storage After School Check In Students are dismissed early for change of clothes and snack Chaperone check in Board the bus 3rd grade PVE – Mr. Pekurny 4th grade PVI – Mrs. Ammermann 3rd grade Polk – Mr. Newman Label everything, be sure snack is in paper/plastic for easy disposal

5 Procedures Students will arrive, are met by chaperones at the bus, and head to equipment rental All skiers/snowboarders wear safety vests for easy identification Chaperones/Blue Mtn. staff help students with equipment Student belongings gathered and stay in rental area Chaperones get students to lessons Chaperones will pickup students from lessons and lead them to café Parents, don’t forget students shoes in rental area if parent pickup

6 Procedures Tags will only be given to parent pickup students skiing/snowboarding after hours All other tags are held by chaperone If students ski/snowboard until close, student hands in tag next day to teacher to be sent to Mrs. Ammermann Tags will be distributed after season for makeup lessons/rentals All skiers/snowboarders stay on beginning trail only

7 Procedures PV station with chaperones in Blue Mountain cafeteria
All students must sign in PRIOR to going with parents Parents must sign students out at student check out Backpacks will stay on the bus Parent pickup students must go to bus to pick up backpacks

8 Weather Cancellations
Weather related cancellations Connect Ed phone call by 12 p.m. sent Makeup days cancelled due to weather will be added to last ski date on a Tuesday, example makeup date Tuesday, February 16.

9 Makeups Makeup session prior to March 8 – can only be used Monday through Thursday. Open pass after March 8, 2016 (call ahead for lesson availability)

10 General Information Parents can purchase lift ticket at group rate.
Lift tkts can only be used Mon – Thurs until March 8.
