2. Step 1: Pre-Write: Create a Web.
-The essay prompt should be in the center of the web.
-You are coming up with 9 details, examples, pieces of textual evidence that have to do with the prompt
-Write these 9 details surrounding the Web

3. Step 2: Topic Sentence:
What are you trying to say? What are you trying to argue? I don’t believe you. Make me believe you in one, clear sentence. This sentence should be declarative and strong. Remember, this is your argument. The clearer the statement: the better the argument.

4. Step 3: Map out your essay:
Select 3 examples from your web and write them in the BP1 area, do the same for BP2, and BP3:

5. Step 4: Rough draft of your essay:
Write the rough draft of your essay, beginning with your Body Paragraphs. DO NOT START WITH YOUR INTRODUCTION. Begin with your body paragraphs, using the examples from the notes in Step 3.

6. Step 5: Introduction Recipe:
After you are finished with your body paragraphs, write your introduction. Here is the recipe:
