Why Tax again ? Tactic of increasing the salary and reducing by taxing
Earlier no tax for Academics now tax is imposed ! – need to release from taxing !

Salary is low ! Low salary scale when compared to South East Asian countries Private salary scales are more attractive compared to University payments Non-state local universities pay higher salaries than state universities

Car permit Limited access to car permit
No car permit at retirement age

Residential facilities
No residential facilities to staff

Laboratory facilities
Inadequate laboratory facilities

Facilities for schooling of children
Finding schools for children for academics/ administrative staff is very limited

Housing loan Housing loans are required at concessionary rate

So many restrictions for the purchase of equipment

Inadequate funding for research and poor support for publications
Funding inadequate ! Inadequate funding for research and poor support for publications

include into work load Research activities other than undergraduate research are not included as work load, need amendments !

Working environment to be improved!
Working environment is not satisfactory due to unavailability of laboratories with modern equipment and sufficient space for increasing intake.

Presidential Award to all !
Social sciences, agribusiness…. fields are not included in Presidential Award

Training to Administrative staff
Inadequate appropriate training to administrative staff

Rewarding system Rewarding system within faculties, among the faculties and within the University to best academic, administrative staff is not existing

Monitoring the peer review – for facilitating rewarding system is NOT existing

Annual allocation for research is grossly inadequate to conduct good research

Best teacher award to be introduced
Self evaluation system by the academics should be introduced Best teacher award to be introduced

Inadequate support to obtain sabbatical leave

Annual increment should be increased.

Providing adequate administrative staff to the efficient functioning of the departments/faculties/administrations

Cadre provisions are very limited
With the new developments of disciplines, cadre provisions are not provided

Facilities for multidisciplinary research are very limited

Hinder garden facilities are not available in the Universities

Marking scheme for authorship should be given equal to all authors

Inadequate fund and other facilities to run new faculties

Copyright, patent system for Artistic creations need to be considered !

Lots of home works are given to academic staff than involving teaching, research and dissemination
Too many home works to Deans, Heads & Administrative staff preventing them to plan and execute the activities within…

Introducing circulars for promotions such as Senior Lecturer II & I and retirement age as & when the UGC changes.

Opening of Centre for Gender Equity & Equality is meaningful when UGC (the Center) composition should first adopt Gender balance
