2 The Jedi Code A Jedi must exhibit responsibility, self discipline, and public service. Following the Jedi theme: one begins as a Youngling (elementary), to an Initiate (middle school), to a Padawan (junior high), and will eventually reach the rank of Jedi Knight (high school).

3 Journeys for our Padawan
In order for a developing Jedi to reach a new level in their training (Initiate to Padawan) a candidate must complete certain journeys on a weekly basis. Each week the candidate will be given a weekly goal to complete, known as a Journey.

5 How a Journey Works The candidate will be given an objective each week which corresponds with a journey in the Jedi Code. Objectives are only a week long. If the candidate is successful with an objective the candidate will be given a reward. If the candidate fails to meet an objective the candidate will revisit that objective at a later time. The overall goal of the objectives are for the candidate to meet with more success than failure.

Responsibilities: Show up to class on time Bring agenda Write daily assignments in agenda With prompting Without prompting Complete assignments on time Extensions given when appropriate Complete homework on time Uses bins/crates to access necessary materials

Self-Discipline: Actions do not distract other students Asked to stop Ends an behavior independently Limit aerial battles to 5 minutes in class Use appropriate techniques to participate in conversations Initiate Maintain Terminate

8 Objectives for our Padawan
Public Service: Participate in groups Sit within close proximity Participate in class discussions Contribute to the discussion Say something positive within the class period

9 Assessing the Objective through Data Collection
Each week the candidate’s participating Jedi Masters will fill out a form assessing the candidate’s performance. Objectives will range from daily data recording to only recording data on specific days.

10 Breaks During a Journey
The candidate may receive one 5 minute “meditation” break each class period, if needed. Meditation consists of the candidate practicing an “exercise in stealth” by attempting not to be noticed in the halls of the Jedi Academy (Holt Junior High School) May get a drink of water No talking

11 Rewards Only given when the candidate successfully completes an objective within a journey. As a reward the candidate will be able to pretend he is a Jedi for on activity period after the week the candidate successfully completes a journey. The candidate may choose one friend to play with or Connector

13 Stat Cards Each miniature comes with a two-sided stat card.
The Star Wars Miniatures line features hundreds of ready-to-play miniatures from the Star Wars universe. You'll find heroes, villains, droids, creatures, and aliens of all descriptions. Now you can play out your favorite movie scenes, add the miniatures to your roleplaying sessions, or trade and collect the miniatures set by set. Stat Cards Each miniature comes with a two-sided stat card. Skirmish: One side has the character's description for skirmish combat. Each character's strengths, weaknesses, Force powers, and special abilities are spelled out. Some miniatures are commanders, and they improve the fighting ability of the other characters in their squads. Sketch: The other side of the stat card has the sketch of the character used to create the sculpt.
