1 Joy From God’s Revitalizing Word
Christian Joy Seekers Joy From God’s Revitalizing Word

2 Walking In Sunlight… Not every day will seem like sunlight. Some days will seem like darkness and gloom. “In the bright sunlight, ever rejoicing, pressing my way to mansions above; singing His praises gladly I’m walking, walking in sunlight, sunlight of love.” Ever rejoicing? How?

3 Often Our Joy Needs To Be Revived
Psalm 23:1-3 – “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul….” So, sometimes our souls need to be restored.

4 Not Every Day Feels Like Sunshine
Things go sour and people turn against you. Friends and family hurt you. Sickness, age or frailties challenge your peace of mind. Fears and doubts trouble you. Satan, the roaring lion, seeks to devour you.

5 Psalm 19:7-11 The law of the Lord is perfect, restoring the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. The precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; the judgments of the Lord are true; they are righteous altogether. They are more desirable than gold, yes, than much fine gold, sweeter also than honey and the drippings of the honeycomb. Moreover, by them Your servant is warned; in keeping them there is great reward.

6 The Word Of God Bolsters Our Joy
He restores my soul… His law revives the soul… His right precepts rejoice the heart… Psalm 119:105 – “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”

7 God’s Word Brings Rejoicing
Psalm 119:14 – “I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies, as much as in all riches.” 119:16 – “I shall delight in Your statutes; I shall not forget Your word.” 119:24 – Your testimonies also are my delight; they are my counselors.”

8 119:24 – “Your testimonies also are my delight; they are my counselors
119:28 – “My soul weeps because of grief; strengthen me according to Your word.” 119:47 – “I shall delight in Your commandments, Which I love.” 119:50 – “This is my comfort in my affliction, that Your word has revived me.” 119:111 – “I have inherited Your testimonies forever, for they are the joy of my heart.”

9 The Bible Is Our Very Life!
As spoken by Moses to Israel Deuteronomy 32:46-47 – “…Take to your heart all the words with which I am warning you today, which you shall command your sons to observe carefully, even all the words of this law. For it is not an idle word for you; indeed it is your life….”

10 It Is The Source of our New Birth
1 Peter 1:23 – “…for you have been born again not of seed which is perishable but imperishable, that is, through the living and enduring word of God.”

11 It Is Our Spiritual Food
Matthew 4:4 – “But He answered and said, ‘It is written, “Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.’” How often should we feed our soul?

12 It is the source of hope Which leads to joy
Romans 15:13 – “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Want to abound in hope?

13 It Is Our Sword Against Satan
Ephesians 6:17 – “And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” Realize you can’t draw your neighbor’s sword – you must use your own.

14 Fill Your Mind and Heart With The Word
2 Timothy 3:16 – “All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.”

15 A Mighty Fortress… “And though this world, with devils filled, should threaten to undo us, We will not fear, for God hath willed His truth to triumph through us: The Prince of Darkness grim, we tremble not for him; His rage we can endure, for lo, his doom is sure, One little word shall fell him.”
