20 Achievement through Lavelle 2010-2013
Awareness were created among general public, NGOs, Physicians, Teachers and several other stakeholders From 2178 ICDS centers 1,05,000 children were screened and 4800 (4.5%) children were got benefited Throughout the project period 9,05,000 school children were screened from 6 districts of Pdy & Tvl. Around 45,000 children got benefited through these camps. Around 1100 ROP babies were screened and 54 were treated with laser During the project period 747 cataract surgeries were done and 402 was supported by Lavelle Fund.

WHO model: From the previous year schools , teachers are requested to examine the below listed children and select the children who have any of the eye defects. Target Populations at the entry into primary school (1st Std.,), the top class in primary school (5th Std.,), in secondary school (8th Std.,) and at the entry in Higher secondary school (11th Std.,). All the newly recruited students from any classes All the defective children identified by us last year

Awareness creation for 1731 Anganwadi teachers/pre school teachers and 170 Doctors 1872 children visiting base hospital confirmed as defective. 911 children received eye glasses. 41 children underwent surgical intervention.
