Accuracy of Three Pulse Oximeters During Exercise and Hypoxemia in Patients With Cystic Fibrosis  David M. Orenstein, M.D., Scott E. Curtis, M.D., F.C.C.P, Patricia A. Nixon, Ph.D., Elizabeth R. 2 FIGURE 1 Bias of each noninvasive oximeter plotted against true saturation, as determined by co-oximetry performed on arterial blood from patients with cystic fibrosis, during exercise and rest. Bias is defined as (co-oximetry SaO2-noninvasive SaO2). Solid line represents zero bias, so that values above the line are instances in which the noninvasive instrument has underestimated saturation, while values below the line are instances in which the noninvasive instrument has overestimated saturation.
