2 Baroque art was fancy and grand
Baroque art was fancy and grand. The most famous Baroque artists were Rubens, Rembrandt, and Vermeer. But now, we begin with Caravaggio.

Do you see grapes? (Hint: two places!) Does Bacchus hold white wine, or red wine?

15 Some people believe that Jesus was God,

16 and others think he was just a man.

17 A conversion happens when a person starts to believe that Jesus was God. Saint Paul did not believe, but then he had a conversion. Then he believed.

Do you see the horse’s hoof? Careful, horse! Do you see Paul’s sword? Paul is on his back, because he is having a conversion.

24 Rubens was from Flanders.

25 There is a story in the Bible about Daniel, who was thrown in with lions.

26 A king made Daniel spend a whole night with hungry lions, but the lions did not eat him. So Daniel did not die; he lived. Here is Peter Paul Rubens’ Daniel in the Lion’s Den.
