1 FellowSHIP Pt. 4: The Power of a Companion Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
INTRODUCTION: (1.)School is a place where KNOWLEDGE IS SHARED. -The cemetery is a place where KNOWLEDGE IS NOT SHARED! *It is important to share knowledge to save future generations the bitterness of learning on their own. (2.)Christian Fellowship is when believers draw close to each other because of their common interest in Christ. -Christian Fellowship is important, so that believers can learn from the experience of each other. *Sharing our experiences requires us as Christians to take off the mask and be transparent with each other in testimony (Rev.12:11).

2 FellowSHIP Pt. 4: The Power of a Companion Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
BODY: (A.)King Solomon writes Ecclesiastes in the spirit of humility and repentance at the end of his life TO SAVE FUTURE GENERATIONS THE BITTERNESS FROM LEARNING FROM THEIR OWN EXPERIENCES. -King Solomon, the wisest and one of the richest men on earth, shares his experience of FUTILE/EMPTY/VAIN life of material wealth without having God. -Solomon wants us to know that life without God is EMPTY. *Solomon also wanted us to know in Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 that we need each other.

3 FellowSHIP Pt. 4: The Power of a Companion Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
BODY: (B.)VS.9 Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their “LABOUR.” -LESSONS FROM VS.9: (1.)Fellowship is so much more than a social gathering. *We are to come together and get our assignment that we may go out and WORK together. (2.)We can do more for God’s Kingdom together than we can as individuals. *Lack of Fellowship creates limited power to fulfill God’s vision for his church.

4 FellowSHIP Pt. 4: The Power of a Companion Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
BODY: (C.)VS.10 For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him. -LESSONS FROM VS.10: (1.)VS.10 “….. ‘IF’ THEY FALL….” *Fellowship “decreases” my chance of falling. (2.)VS.10 “….. ‘WHEN’ HE FALLETH….” *Lack of Fellowship “ensures” my chance of falling. (3.)Fellowship causes me to be helped if I fall. *Those who fail to bounce back are those who disconnect from fellowship.

5 FellowSHIP Pt. 4: The Power of a Companion Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
BODY: (D.)VS.11 Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone? -LESSONS FROM VS.11: (1.)Genuine Christian fellowship is warm hearted. CLOSE: (E.)VS.12 And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken. -LESSONS FROM VS.12: (2.)Fellowship will be tested; but with God in the center, it can’t be broken.
