1 CIMSpy/CIMdesk A CIM-based Data Engineering Tool
CIM User Group Meeting, Charlotte, NC, 2009

2 About CIMSpy Initiated during the CIMug Fall 2005
Designed to provide an integrated data engineering environment in support of CIM-based model exchange Used in EPRI IOP 8-11and ERCOT Nodal project Two Editions Available Standard Edition (CIMSpy SE) in support of IOP, released as open source under GNU public license Enterprise Edition (CIMSpy EE) in support of CIM-related projects, normally requiring customization

3 About CIMdesk Designed to support model exchange between ENTSO-E and its Transmission System Operator (TSO) Members Derived from CIMSpy EE Customized to support ENTSO-E model exchange business processes as well as the CIM profile developed to govern these model exchanges Added many enhancements including support of model editing and model visualization, etc. Version 1.0 was released to ENTSO-E and TSOs in July 2009.
