4 I will take my stand at my watchpost
and station myself on the tower, and look out to see what he will say to me, and what I will answer concerning my complaint. Habakkuk 2:1

5 And the LORD answered me:
“Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it. Habakkuk 2:2

6 Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son. Hebrews 1:1-2

7 let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross. Hebrews 12:1b-2

8 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

9 For still the vision awaits its appointed time;
it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay. Habakkuk 2:3

10 O LORD, I have heard the report of you,
and your work, O LORD, do I fear. In the midst of the years revive it; in the midst of the years make it known; in wrath remember mercy.

11 Though the fig tree should not blossom,
nor fruit be on the vines, the produce of the olive fail and the fields yield no food … yet I will rejoice in the LORD; I will take joy in the God of my salvation. GOD, the Lord, is my strength Habakkuk 3:2, 17-19

12 “Look among the nations, and see; wonder and be astounded.
For I am doing a work in your days that you would not believe if told.” Habakkuk 1:5

13 But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed. 2 Peter 3:8-10

14 For the Lord is a God of justice;
blessed are all those who wait for him. Isaiah 30:18 And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9

15 “Behold, his soul is puffed up; it is not upright within him, but the righteous shall live by his faith.” Habakkuk 2:4

16 “If God were unkind enough to answer some of our prayers at once, and in our way, we should be very impoverished Christians. Fortunately, God sometimes delays his answer in order to deal with selfishness or things in our lives which should not be there. He is concerned about us, and intends to fit us for a fuller place in his kingdom.” Martyn Lloyd-Jones

17 Your work O Lord…In the midst of the years revive it; in the midst of the years make it known
… I will rejoice in the LORD; I will take joy in the God of my salvation. GOD, the Lord, is my strength Habakkuk 3:2, 18-19
