1. American GI Forum, McLennan County Scholarship Application

The American GI Forum of McLennan County will be awarding scholarships for students in financial need and who plan on attending a college, university, or trade school in the fall of 2017
CRITERIA: Applicants must meet the following criteria before being considered for this scholarship:
Be of Hispanic heritage.
Financial need.
Performed Community / School service.
Extra Curricular activities.
2.5 GPA on a 4.0 Scale.
Be in the top 25% of his/her graduating class.
250 word typed essay on “Describe your financial need for applying for this scholarship”.
ELIGIBILITY: Applicants must meet the following eligibility before being considered for this scholarship:
Be an area high school graduating senior.
Provide an acceptance letter from college or universities.
Provide a copy of SAT or ACT test scores.
Proof of community / school service. (Attach an Itemize list of community / school
service with the scholarship application).
Provide an itemize list of extra curricular activities (sport, band, clubs, JROTC etc).
Provide a current high school transcript.
Provide two letters of recommendation. One letter must be from one of your
teachers and or high school counselor.
DEADLINE: All applicants must submit the application NLT 01 April Mail applications along with all required documents to the American GI Forum, McLennan County at P.O.
