3. Invention of Sneakers
U.S. Rubber Company invented sneakers around They were called Keds then.
The next big development occurred in 1920s Germany where a soccer player, Adolph (Adi) Dassler, founded a shoe company, Gebrüder Dassler. Today the company has changed its name to adidas.
Sneakers went mainstream in the US in 1984, when NBA star, Michael Jordan,put on a pair of Nike sneakers. Air Jordan has become the most famous sneaker ever made.
