Topic: The Prevention of Genocide CLAIM : The international community must be unified in the fight against genocide and needs to ensure that they have the power and resources to prevent future genocides. Supporting Claim: International tribunals must be empowered to respond to and prevent genocide in its early stages, as well as to punish groups and leaders who commit genocide. Supporting Claim: Direct military intervention is necessary in situations that pose a threat of or early stage execution of genocide.
