The importance of informed decision making and college fit has been a major initiative. Survey results indicate that 91.8% of students reported they visited the college they are attending. This promotes the academic and social fit that is desired in the college admissions process.

An emphasis has been placed on financial literacy and FAFSA completion. This May, 85.5 % of seniors reported they had completed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid with their parent/guardian. The Federal Student Aid FAFSA Completion portal supports the survey. According to the New York State Higher Education Services Corporation, only 45.7 % of high school seniors in New York State completed the FAFSA in 2015.
