2 THE UNIMAGINEABLE BLESSINGS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS
Text: II Corinthians 9:6-15 2Cr 9:6 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.

3 2Cr 9:7 Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 2Cr 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. 2Cr 9:9 As it is written: "He has scattered abroad his gifts to the poor; his righteousness endures forever."

4 2Cr 9:10 Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. 2Cr 9:11 You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. 2Cr 9:12 This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God's people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.

5 2Cr 9:13 Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, men will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else. 2Cr 9:14 And in their prayers for you their hearts will go out to you, because of the surpassing grace God has given you. 2Cr 9:15 Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift

6 INTRO: We have learned from previous sermons that to serve others is RIGHTEOUSNESS It was for this reason that the sheep were on the right side of God because they did something to the least…Matt 25:40 Psalm 37:21 The wicked borrow and do not repay, but the righteous give generously; Another act of righteousness is to give generously.

7 AIM: FOR US TO UNDERSTAND CLEARLY THAT GOD GIVES US SEED FOR US TO SOW AND NOT TO EAT. GOD BLESS US TO SEE WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO WITH IT. IT IS US WHO DECIDE HOW MUCH BLESSING DO WE RECEIVE, NOT THE LORD. I. BLESSING (REAPING) COMES BY SOWING (GIVING)- V 6

8 Gen 8:22 "While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, And day and night Shall not cease.“ The amount of harvest is determined by the amount of seeds being sown. Those who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly Those who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. When God said, “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you”,

9 He wanted us to sow our seed (blessings) by giving/sharing it to others.
Love means a commitment and dedication to meet another person’s needs above our own. To care means to anticipate a need and meet it; planning to meet a need before it arises. II. GOD LOVES A CHEERFUL GIVER -V 7 God is able to make all grace abound toward you-v 8

10 2Cr 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work(NIV). 2Cr 9:8 And God [is] able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all [things], may have an abundance for every good work(NKJV). So that in all things at all times, Having all that you need, You will abound in every good work.

11 III. HE WILL SUPPLY THE SEED TO THE SOWER-V 10
Sowing/giving attracts God’s attention to give you the seed knowing you will sow it. While you sow the seed, He will also supply bread for food He will continue to supply and multiply the seed you have sown Multiplication happens when the seed gets sown. He will increase the fruits of righteousness.

12 IV. YOU WILL BE MADE RICH IN EVERY WAY SO THAT YOU CAN BE GENEROUS ON EVERY OCCASION
Your generosity will result to thanksgiving to God-v 11 The needs of God’s people will be supplied-v 12 2Cr 8:13 Our desire is not that others might be relieved while you are hard pressed, but that there might be equality.

13 2Cr 8:14 At the present time your plenty will supply what they need, so that in turn their plenty will supply what you need. Then there will be equality, God’s people will overflow with many expressions of thanks to God-v 12 Men will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ. By being generous to others, they will pray for you-v 14

14 V. THEY SHALL INHERIT THE EARTH
Psalm 37:21 The wicked borrows and does not repay, But the righteous shows mercy and gives. Psalm 37:22 For [those] blessed by Him shall inherit the earth, But [those] cursed by Him shall be cut off. Mat 5:5 Blessed [are] the meek, For they shall inherit the earth. Rev 21:1 Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea.

15 Rev 21:2 Then I, John, [fn] saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. Rev 21:3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God [is] with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them [and be] their God. The wicked shall be cut off-v 22

16 VI. THE LORD UPHOLDS THEM-V 24
Psalm 37:24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; For the LORD upholds [him with] His hand. VII. THEY WILL NOT BE FORSAKEN-V 25 Psalm 37:25 I have been young, and [now] am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his descendants begging bread. This was a testimony of David

17 Hebrews 13:5 [Let your] conduct [be] without covetousness; [be] content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you. Their descendants will not beg for bread Pro 13:22 A good [man] leaves an inheritance to his children's children, But the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous. He is ever merciful, and lends; His descendants are blessed-v 26

18 VII. THE LORD PRESERVES THEM-V 28
Psalm 37:28 For the LORD loves justice, And does not forsake His saints; They are preserved forever, But the descendants of the wicked shall be cut off. Psalm 37:29 The righteous shall inherit the land, And dwell in it forever. Pro 10:30 The righteous will never be removed, But the wicked will not inhabit the earth.

19 Psalm 37:35 I have seen the wicked in great power, And spreading himself like a native green tree.
Psalm 37:36 Yet he passed away, [fn] and behold, he [was] no [more]; Indeed I sought him, but he could not be found. VIII. THEIR FUTURE IS PEACE-V 38 Psalm 37:37 Mark the blameless [man], and observe the upright; For the future of [that] man [is] peace.

20 IX. THE LORD IS THEIR STRENGTH IN TIME OF TROUBLE
Psalm 37:39 But the salvation of the righteous [is] from the LORD; [He is] their strength in the time of trouble. Psalm 37:40 And the LORD shall help them and deliver them; He shall deliver them from the wicked, And save them, Because they trust in Him.

21 CHALLENGE: What have you done with your seed? Have you been eating them or sown them? Do you want the Lord to multiply your seed? Plant/sow them.

22 CONCLUSION: 2Cr 9:10 Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. 2Cr 9:11 You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.
