6 Pull quote Type of text feature
Definition: a small yet important idea pulled out from the text that is in a larger, bolded font. Purpose: to entice readers and to highlight the main topic Turn and Talk: Why does the pull quote change point of view from how it appears inside the text?

7 Partner Work: So what? How does the text structure of the article effectively convey information about the topic?

8 Homework: Read “Students Who Lose Recess Are the Ones Who Need It Most” and notice and note how the text is organized. Due Friday.
