Letters Sent Home This Week
Basketball tournament letters have gone out for 1st March .
Years 3&4
Yr 3 – Spelling journals will be needed in school, Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays.
Yr 3 – Mrs Townsend’s spelling group need their books in on a Wednesday. Please keep practising with your children.
Year 3 –Please keep practising telling the time with your child and helping them to use money accurately. Can you also practise dividing, eg. £250 shared between 5 people?

Year 4 – Home Learning menus are now glued into journals.

New Texting System: We have moved over to our new texting system which is linked to our new school website. You will receive school texts from eSchools. Please let us know if you are not receiving texts and bear with us as we go through this change. More info about an eSchools app you can use will be sent out shortly.
Cancelled Football Club: No club on Monday 29th Feb due to a match being played.
Bike It Day: Wednesday 2nd March. Bring your bike to school if you want it checked /fixed by Bike-It Ben.
World Book Day: Although WBD is on 3rd March, we will be celebrating this event on Monday 7th March. Dressing up themes:
Reception/Yr1&2 – Julia Donaldson characters
Yr3-6 – Roald Dahl characters.
School Website: Please ensure you keep checking the school website for updates on after school clubs/forthcoming events.
Free School Meals: If you think your child is eligible for Free School Meals please contact the School Office.
Get Caught Reading: Please photographs to the School Office.
Shoe Boxes: Thanks for all the shoe boxes sent in so far.
Sainsbury’s Active Kids Vouchers: Please start collecting as many vouchers as you can. Any volunteers to help count the vouchers would be much appreciated!
Parent Pay: School lunches. Please do ensure your child has enough money on their account to pay for their school lunch. If you are unable to add credit to their account then please send them in with a packed lunch instead.
Parents’ Evenings: Tuesday 22nd March ,5pm-8pm and Wednesday 23rd March, 4pm-6:30pm. Details to follow.
Easter Holidays: Last day of school Thursday 24th March, return to school Monday 11th April.
Reception, Year 1 & Year 2
Reception – Our chick eggs are here. They will hatch in 21 days. We will invite you in to see them when they hatch.
Reception - If you have any cards or envelopes you do not need, please bring them in.
Reception - Please make sure all clothes are labelled.
Reception – We still need shoe boxes in. If your child hasn’t already please bring one in after half term.
Reception – Spring Barn Farm trip. Please return permission slip & payment either by cash or on Parent Pay. If your child needs a school packed lunch you must order this by Tuesday 1st March.
Yr 1 – PE now on Monday and Tuesday afternoons.
Yr 1&2- Please ensure a full PE kit is in school, including outside kit such as jogging bottoms.
Yr 1&2 – Our topic focus this term is the Victorians. Please start finding out information at home.
Yr 1&2 – Our new Talk4Writing this term is Rumpelstiltskin.
Yr 2 - No news please unless topic related.
Yr2 – Parent volunteers needed for sticking work into books.
Years 5&6
Yr 5 – PE days are Thursday and Friday,

Yr 5 – Planetarium trip. Thurs 3rd March. Parent helpers have been contacted.

Yr 6 will now be taking spellings home every week.
Yr 6 France Please return medical form and slip to confirm if your child can swim 25m or not ASAP. Check your child has a valid passport and apply for EHIC if necessary. The deadline for the full balance is 24th March Please make payment via Parent Pay.
