2. How Poverty Effected Afghanistan
Afghanistan suffered poverty from different health problems.
Poverty is widespread throughout rural and urban areas.
It has taken nearly
eight years for the
members of the ISAF
and aid donors to
realize how bad
Afghanistan.

A severe drought problem has caused a huge increase in malnutrition rates in remote places in Afghanistan
In April 2006 Merlin opened a midwife training school in Taloqan, Afghanistan.
60 percent of people have enough food some of the time and 40 percent don’t have enough food.

4. houses In rural Afghanistan houses are traditionally made out of mud.
Some have a series of rooms located around a private rectangular courtyard where women cook and socialize and children play
