The CMDA is the flagship apprenticeship – one of the first degree apprenticeships to be developed and launched. An exciting area of further development is around the Senior Leader standard – which will be a Masters level apprenticeship for those in a senior position in organisations or moving into senior roles. We are working with employers and providers on this – and are delighted that Portsmouth are one of those that are contributing. What out for further information! However, there are also fantastic apprenticeship options for those that are working at all different levels in organisations. #CMIPOWEROF3

9 What do employers want? #CMIPOWEROF3
75% of employers want professional qualifications as evidence of practical skills Communication is the number one expectation Global mind-set and multi-disciplinary problem solving are key requirements What do employers want? PROFESSIONAL ACCREDITATION OF PRACTICAL MANAGEMENT SKILLS Employers are strongly in favour of graduates seeking an additional professional qualification to complement their degree. 75% of employers say graduates should seek professional qualifications, alongside their academic achievements, as evidence of practical/applied skills – this implies courses relevant to the world of work, that meet professional standards and which include ethical codes Need for improved management skills 65% of employers say graduates lack the interpersonal skills needed to manage people. Their main complaint is that candidates may appear well qualified on paper, but in practice they are unable to handle difficult conversations, deal effectively with different personalities and situations, or think outside the box #CMIPOWEROF3
