8 Marching Band Fees $200 Band Member Fee Additional Fees:
$100 Due July 17thth $100 Due October 1st Fees are used to pay teaching staff and materials/equipment for the show. Smaller payments are accepted and may be turned in at any point prior to due dates. Additional Fees: Overnight Trips Costs Meal Money Individual Marching Shoes Marching Band Fees

Current events occur every day and effect our everyday lives. Some bring our nation together and we all rush to help. What happens in every day life when we are the ones who experience the event? RCSHS Marching Band 2017

11 Natural Disaster: Any event or force of nature that has catastrophic consequences, such as avalanche, earthquake, flood, forest fire, hurricane, lightning, tornado, tsunami, and volcanic eruption Other Descriptive Factors: Frequency: How often the event is likely to happen Duration: the length of time the event lasts Extent: size of area or region affected Speed of the Onset: Sudden, without warning and over quickly vs. builds slowly before a peak period Spatial Dispersion: area likely to be effected by a particular event Temporal Spacing: how disasters occur in time; random or within a cycle Let’s Talk Science

Human Cost: Effects on human life, such as total deaths, number of injuries and damage to property or replacement costs Strength, Size and Intensity of Event Hurricane and Tornado Systems: 1-5 Richter Scale for Seismic Events: 1-9 More Science!

Props: Buildings for a Coastal Carolina City, Beaches, News Broadcast Station Pre-Show: Setting the stage of a typical day in Coastal Carolina Opener: A Hurricane is on the Way News of the Storm; Tension builds as the storm approaches the city. Do we have time to get out? How do we prepare? Movement 2: Storm/Landfall The actual storm hits the city. Buildings fall down, chaos throughout the city, panic throughout the citizens Ballad: Realization and Reflection Closer: “We will rebuild this city!” Citizens working together and raising props back up. Category Five
