Hi! My name is Jackie Jennings. I am the Technology Integration Specialist at Fort Payne City Schools and I will be leading the session titled “Technology Tools for Formative Assessments.” In this session I will demonstrate how to use 3 tech-based assessment tools that provide immediate feedback, not only for the teacher, but also for the student. Basically, formative assessments with superpowers.
Those 3 tools are Kahoot, Socrative, and Nearpod.

Research shows that feedback improves student achievement (Kluger and DiNis 1997)
Using technology tools like Kahoot, Socrative, and Nearpod provides that immediate feedback
It helps establish where the learners are in their learning so the teaching process can be adjusted
