2 Pontine infarctions in the three patients with corresponding sensory features: Shown are hypoesthesia in the left cheek and ala nasi due to an ischemic infarct in the upper left pons (case 1); hypoesthesia in the midfacial right region due to ischemic lesions in the rostral right pons (case 2); and hypoesthesia in the left ala of the nose and upper lip due to infarction of the left paramedian penetrating arteries of the pons (case 3).
