August 6th/ American B-29 bomber launched "Little Boy“ atomic bombs on Hiroshima. Killed 80,000 people. August 9th, 1945 – a second B-29 bomb was launched called the "Fat Man“ on Nagasaki, Japan. Killing estimate of 40,000 people. August 5th / Japan’s Emperor Hirohito announced the intention to surrender.
