Focus first on composition, what way will you arrange your shirt so you are able to draw it well? Hanging, folded, crumpled up, or hung over something?
Remember to use line and mark-making to show creases and folds.

2. Art and Design Silver Task
Year 8
Draw your school shirt in pencil.
Try to arrange your shirt in an interesting way (think about how this will look on the page- composition)
Focus on shape, line, and tonal shading.
Try to give your shirt 3D form through your use of shading.

3. Art and Design Gold Task
Year 8
Create an observational drawing of your school shirt in pencil.
Try to arrange your shirt in an interesting way, add other objects that relate to school (tie, pencils, bag, etc) to this composition, put an element of originality into the composition rather than being safe.
Focus on shape, line, and tonal shading. You may also want to use your mark-making skills to show texture.
Give your shirt 3D form through your use of shading.
