The American Physiological Society David M. Harris, PhD Dr. Harris has 9 years of teaching experience at Drexel University and the University of Central Florida’s College of Medicine. He has directed the Medical Physiology portions at both. He has published 9 articles in medical education journals and presented numerous abstracts on educational research. He has received a Teaching Career Enhancement Award and New Investigator Award from the APS. Dr. Harris is currently on the Awards Committee and has served on the Careers in Physiology Committee and Guyton Award Selection Committee from the Teaching Section. He is also a co-discipline director for the MedU Science Project, which is geared to integrate basic science into the clinical years of medical school.

Example of ad for Assistant Professor of Biochemistry The selected applicant will be expected to establish a prominent, externally-funded research program; teach biochemistry and other courses in the department at the undergraduate and graduate levels; and provide service to XXX and the profession. State of the art laboratory space and competitive start-up package can be expected. Editor, study sections?? How many? How big? Development? Correct equipment, sharing space, offices?
