2. Rule Of Thirds The simplest way to achieve good pictorial composition.
If you center-balance an image (split a frame in half essentially), it looks rather dull.
If you utilize a “tic-tac-toe” grid you will get much more interesting results.

3. Look Room
When watching people, we tend to center them left-to-right as well.
This is only placed on-camera when the subject is looking straight at the camera.
If the subject is looking to one side, the composition seems constricted on that side.
The remedy is to shift the subject away from the direction of the look.

4. Lead Room Lead room is look room with subject moving.
If you center moving subjects left-to- right, they seem to run into the edge of the picture.
By positioning subjects away from the frame edge toward which they are moving, you will get better results.

5. Extreme Long Shot (ELS)
Figure is tiny and indistinct in a very large area.

6. Extreme Close-Up (ECU)
The shot shows the subject from the base of the nose to the eyebrows.
