Tau vertex direction >

Inc B DiMuon: 21 events = very small!
Tau 2 3 Mu: 1,012 events = 0.95%

3. MVA Results Selection efficiency after MVA + further cuts
Need ~ 1 background event and ~ 1% signal selection to be competitive
Need to include L0 trigger response – expect ~ 10%
Investigate further using DOCA, nShared, clonefinder, IPS mu etc...

4. Heidelberg approach Use a loose preselection: DLL(mu – pi) > - 20
Tau mass window +/- 120MeV
Tau vertex fit χ2 < 100
Signal preselection: 56,369/106,695 = 52.8%
Background preselection: 9,439,259/25,574,200 = 36.9%
Apply Heidelberg cuts →
