At the end of the Rotary year, it had received only about $2 million in contributions since 1917. Today, the Foundation’s assets stand at more than $1 billion. 7 7/2/2018 Arch Klumph Society members are given the opportunity to attend an induction ceremony and have their portraits displayed in the Arch Klumph Society gallery at Rotary International World Headquarters in Evanston (shown here). And since 2005, the Foundation has also honored these members at a dinner during Rotary’s annual convention. “We should not live for ourselves alone, but for the joy in doing good for others”---Arch Klumph, 1929

13 The Centennial What should District 7610 do**?
Have a “bodacious” Centennial year with our giving, maintaining and even improving on our #1 Zone ranking and #11 worldwide ranking, exceeding every goal. Be represented at the Atlanta Centennial Convention by at least 2-3 members from each club, showing that we work as a family. **paraphrased from DG comments in September 2016 District newsletter

Celebrate 100 years of doing good by sponsoring a Rotary Day event focused on the Foundation, involving your community Throw a birthday party Sponsor a Centennial walk/run/bicycle race Sponsor a Taste of Rotary booth at local event Organize a Foundation alumni reunion Organize a Centennial concert with local talent

15 The Centennial What can clubs do?
Inform club members and your community about TRF’s track record of improving life in communities worldwide Organize an Area of Focus seminar w/ experts Sell bottled water with labels promoting Rotary’s water and sanitation efforts Sponsor a Rotary info booth at a local event Organize a book club; read the new TRF book

16 The Centennial What can clubs do?
Improve your community by sponsoring a Foundation Centennial event and inviting the public to participate Collect 100 Area of Focus supplies to donate Plant a grove of 100 trees, or create a garden Hold a 100-hour service marathon w/ volunteers Conduct a local needs assessment for a grant Organize a Rotary Day community cleanup

17 The Centennial What can clubs do?
Raise money for PolioPlus, the Rotary Peace Centers, or your club’s grant projects with fun community events Hold a rubber-duck race on a local river Organize a 9-hole winter golf event in the snow Hold a raffle for the new leather-bound TRF book Organize a talent contest or karaoke competition Sponsor a dance-a-thon or bike-a-thon
