5 Alliteration Alliteration is the repetition of consonant sounds at the beginning of words in a line. Examples: Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers. Trisha Tutone twisted Tyrone’s tie.

6 Characteristics of an Epic (page 29)
Copy the bullets in your spiral notebook: Epics from different languages and time periods share many of the same characteristics, including: -The hero, generally a male, is of noble birth or high position and of great historical or legendary importance. -The hero’s character traits reflect important ideals of his society.
