4. 4. At tables, model and assist with the construction of the paper menorahs.

Have the students glue previously cut paper menorah pieces to construction paper. Glue on previously cut paper candles. When finished have the students bring their paper menorahs to the story area.

5. 5. Play an easy Hanukkah song on a cassette or CD player
5. Play an easy Hanukkah song on a cassette or CD player. Teach the children the song using the song chart. Songs and lyrics are available on the Internet - check out this site:
Dim the lights. As the class sings the song, light the candles of the real menorah. Have the students touch their paper candles to pretend to light them.

6. 6. Allow the children to share what they have learned with other students, their parents or the community by displaying their work and having them sing their Hanukkah song.
