3. Update An update is similar to a restricted check out
A check out gets all the files of the repository and places them in the directory that you chose
An update gets all the files that are newer than your current files
An update can only change things if:
You did an original check out
Someone else updated some of the files since then

The right click of a repository will usually about three commands
Update
Commit
TortoiseSVN
The last of these opens a submenu of several interesting things
It always knows the network repository after a check out

8. Show Log
The log is the text commentary that will be entered with a commit
Every commit should have some text that tells what was changed and why
In our environment we will have a single login for everyone
Thus the text should have the name
In a individual login environment the login indicates who

The top pane allows us to scroll through the various revisions and look at individual commits
The second pane is the commit text
The third pane is the files changed

11. Repo Browser
Gives a File Explorer like interface to the network repository
This is not the files on disk
You may click on any of the files and it will be loaded
Provided there is a application that can handle
You may browse revisions other than the current head
