Processing Of Complete Denture
3
Laboratory Steps - Wax contouring & disarticulation of casts
- Flasking - Wax elimination - Application of separating medium - Packing of acrylic resin - Processing (curing) - Deflasking & Remounting - Finishing & Polishing
5
Flasking: Use the 3 pour technique (to facilitate removal of denture after curing) Cast should be immersed in the center of the base and the occlusal plane of the trial denture is parallel to the floor. Care should be taken to avoid applying separating medium over the exposed occlusal surfaces of the teeth.
9
Wax elimination is carried out placing the flask in boiling water for 5 minutes
Wax elimination for prolonged time will lead to leaching of the wax into the investing plaster Flask is taken out of water bath and soft wax is flushed out using hot water Separating medium is added prior to packing the acrylic resin

Mixing of powder and liquid
3: 1 by volume or 2:1 by weight Mix is added when it is in dough like stage Dough is applied and excess is removed (trial closure) Long(70 degree 9 hours )or short cycle (7o degree for 1/12 hour then boiling for one hour) Bench cooling & deflasking.
