2 Historical Chateau Built in 1782 in true Louis XV style, the chateau is quite a spectacular Chartreuse property. This gem stands in the centre of a green and peaceful setting, surrounded by wooded hills. Set in the centre of the estate, is the Chartreuse and several outbuildings. Oriented east-west it is accessed via a driveway leading to a large courtyard, around which the buildings form an 'L' shape.

The surface area of the Chartreuse is 400 m2 on two levels. The ground floor is comprised of an entrance hall with a beautiful staircase stone, a large dining room, kitchen and service rooms, two salons and a boudoir with XVIII panelling. On the first floor are three bedrooms and six bathrooms or shower. Refurbishment of these areas is required. Alongside is a caretaker's house of approximately 100 m2 in good condition. A further building of around 100 m² is currently used as hunting lodge. Stables consisting of eight horseboxes and the tower of a windmill dating back to the 13th century compromising 95 m², converted into a dovecote.

6 Manor House The Manor House has been handsomely restored with modern conveniences and an eye for the property’s heritage. The entrance hall leads to a charming salon with a unique stone fireplace. The windows overlook a manicured lawn and valley beyond. The small salon leads onto the property’s historical reception and cooking space, where the original terra-cotta tile floors are apparent. The home’s original stone sink and large stone fireplace are features, and the room today doubles as dining and living spaces. French doors open to the terrace and view below.

9 The property consists of 60 hectares in one block, with vines, clustered on the best terroir. 20 hectares are in production with 5 hectares more available to plant and 40 hectares of parks, forests and meadows, grouped in one single block. The current owner has made many upgrades to the winery, vinification and ageing processes in order to bring the wine from this Château to one of the top in it's appellation. AOC Côtes de Castillon. The location chosen originally for its excellent soil and subsoil - perfect for the growing of vines. The soil type is clay-limestone and sand-clay with a subsoil of clay-iron and iron ore.

12 There are 5,700 vines per hectare
There are 5,700 vines per hectare. The grape varieties consist of 55% Merlot, 27% Cabernet Franc, 13% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Malbex or Côtes. 900 hectoliters are produced per year - approximately 120,000 bottles. The Chais are attached to the Chartreuse and have a surface area of approximately 1000 m2. Thermo-regulated concrete vats. The storage capacity for both barrels and bottles, meet the needs of the property. The wines from this Château are actively marketed and have won several medals.

15 Grounds A well supplies water to the house, the wine cellars as well as to the park. There is a swimming pool. All around this beautiful Chartreuse, lie meadows, vineyards and woodlands or oak chestnut and pine.

16 Location Located in the heart of the Bordeaux vineyard region, less than an hour from Bordeaux and very close to Saint-Emilion.
