4. Helmets (Saumil Sheth)
Helmets were key components to a soldier's safety
No brass was used in creation of the helmets
Front flaps were changed from round to square
Buckle was made from corrosion resistant materials

5. Poncho A rubber coated fabric poncho with hood.
it wasn’t useful because It is really hot and sweaty to use as a rain garment,and it become heavy when wet.
soldiers snap two poncho's together to make a shelter. MH

6. Combat Boots 1965 or earlier.
Black leather, green canvas, nylon band at top, nylon strap from heel to top. MH
Similar to the older one but with addition of nylon ankle reinforcement band.
The Pamama sole had a thin steel spike protection plate embedded to block Punji Sticks.

7. Standard Jungle Uniform
Hat, jacket, trousers, boots, boonie insect net.
Mostly Camouflage or green.

8. Flak Jackets
A vest that was used to protect soldiers from bullets and explosives.
It weighed no more 8 pounds.
