God wants us to abhor our sin (Prov. 8:13f; Rom. 12:9). Reflecting on our sin should cause godly sorrow & repentance (2 Cor. 7:10; 2 Pet. 3:9) resulting in confession, forgiveness & cleansing (1 John 1:9)

12 Conclusions Paul had many reasons to be anxious Jewish leaders antagonistic 40 men sworn to murder him Still in prison though a Roman citizen But the Lord was with Paul, so he was at peace – Paul trusted God’s promises
