8 When is course work completed?
During the periods designated in the timetable Synchronous periods are times when the student meets with the teacher in a virtual classroom on-line. Asynchronous classes are times when the student completes activities independently on-line or off-line. Whenever students have homework. Completion is Essential – Formative/Self-Diagnostic CDLI Parent-Teacher Night

10 CDLI Parent-Teacher Night 2005-2006
Keys to Success Successful students are those who: Use asynchronous time effectively. Use the course tools like the homepage or the calendar to monitor due dates and manage their time. Do assigned work as soon as it is assigned and in small “chunks” . Use tools like to write clear and specific requests for assistance, clarification, or explanation from the e-teacher. Participate in vClass by asking questions about what’s been encountered in the web-based content. Strive for understanding instead of scrambling to “jump through the hoops”.
