2 National Emblem The National Emblem of India is an adaptation of the lion capital of Ashoka of Sarnath. It was adopted as our emblem on 26th January, 1950, when India became a republic. Our emblem is used for many official documents like currency notes, passports, etc. The emblem symbolises power, courage and confidence. The motto of the emblem is ‘Satyameva Jayate’, which means ‘truth alone triumphs’.

3 National flag Our National flag has three colours. Hence, it is also known as a tricolour (tiranga). They are saffron, white and green. Saffron stands for strength and courage. White stands for peace and honesty. Green stands for progress and prosperity.

4 National anthem The National Anthem of India, Jana Gana Mana, was written by Rabindranath Tagore. It was officially adopted as the Indian National Anthem on 24th January, 1950.

Supposed you had guessed! Anyway, its a MANGO! The Mango is from the Anacardiaceae Family, strange word, isn't it? In several cultures its fruit and Leaves are ritually used as floral Decorations at Weddings, public Celebrations and religious ceremonies.
