1. Tips for writing our China Pen-pals
If the letter is addressed specifically to you:
1st: Thanks for the letter and/or gift
*Can add a gift (penny-something mentioned in their letter-Example-stamp, comic strip)!
2nd: Answer their questions *make a connection
3rd: Ask more questions

If the letter is addressed to “A Friend” or you did not get one”:
1st: Introduce yourself
*name, school, hobbies, friends, American life (make sure it flows)
2nd: Ask them questions about their lives
3rd: Ask more questions

2. How to Address Your Letter
Put as much information as possible:
-name (both English & Chinese) or just cut the name from the end of the letter and glue it to the envelope
-class (the 2nd number 7.9)
-grade (the 1st number 7.9)
Put who it’s from:
Your name
Your grade
Your teacher’s name
Your class period
