So how do we calculate percentages?
Step 1: Take the percentage number you want to find: Like 40% Step 2: Then move the decimal point to the left TWICE So 40% becomes 0.40

Step 3: Take your new decimal number and multiply it with the number or dollar amount you already know. So, 40% of $60 = 60 x 0.4 = 24 or $24

Step 1: Take the percentage number you know:
