2. Internet-Based Interactive Applications of Medical Imaging
Advances in medical image acquisition technologies provides high-resolution 3D volumetric data.
Demands Internet-based interactive applications to share or transfer medical image data.
Computerized visualization, analysis and diagnosis.
Telepresence of a surgeon during operation.

3. Problem Statement
Ranging: several hundred megabytes-several ten gigabytes.
Not only 3D but also other senses like temperature, pressure etc
Internet-based interactive applications are limited to low/medium-resolution data for its limited bandwidth: insufficient for reliable use in diagnosis.
Increasing clients in client–server model leads to a longer response time for all users.
Specifically: Large storage and longer response time
