3 No Two Interviews are Alike
Reflect on what went right/wrong but next interview may be completely different Need to think quickly on your feet Have good “stories” or examples of your accomplishments Tailor your answers to the position Get adequate rest, eat healthy, exercise, meditate – whatever it takes

4 Show Your Passion For the position and the company
Employers want to hire people who really want to work there Have specific reasons why you want to work there Have specific reasons why you want the position

5 Build Rapport with Interviewers
Companies want to hire a “good fit for the team” Act like you’re already part of the team Be personable and likeable - halo effect Mention something you saw on LinkedIn Develop the interview into a conversation Ask questions during the interview

6 Prove You Can Do the Job You need to walk the walk, not just talk the talk Role plays, hypothetical simulations, presentations, case studies, personality and analytical testing Mention ways you can start contributing immediately Use phrases like: I can hit the ground running I will have a minimal learning curve

8 Stay in the Race! Boston is a very competitive job market
No one gets every job they interview for The fact that you got an interview is great Even highly qualified candidates don’t get hired Employers are looking for an exact match Keep applying until you find the right fit for you!
