2 Topics ·     Opening and Closing a Group: Regardless of whether this is a two-hour session or a two-month series of sessions you need to set the environment for learning; you also need to find ways to close/end training so that participants can ‘wrap up’ the session. ·     Adults as Learners: What are the characteristics of adults as learners? How might this impact facilitation/training? ·     Learning Styles: What about learning styles, doesn’t everyone learn the same way? If not, should I consider that in my sessions/classes? ·     Methods and Strategies: This session will look at a variety of options for engaging the participant in the process. Other than “lecture and listen”, in what ways can teaching/learning take place? i.e. discussion, brainstorming, role play, games, etc. ·     Assessing Your Plan: (looking at one of your training plans/lesson plans and assessing it now that you have the training. Will you keep it the same? Are there ways it could be improved?)

3 How could these be translated into objectives for the next two days?
