6 Community Effort Site Supervisors volunteer from the community. DPS provides sponsorship and training to the Site Supervisor to ensure that all ODE/USDA Summer Feeding Program regulations and requirements are met. Mandatory training is required for site supervisors. The site must be a non-profit organization.

7 Program Information DPS provides a three week menu cycle ie: breakfast, lunch and snacks (supper upon request). Meals are consumed on site with site supervision.

8 Role of DPS as a Sponsor DPS hires and trains monitors to oversee sites and programs according to regulations. The DPS Summer Feeding Program is run at a loss but provides a very necessary service for the community which the district is committed to support.

9 How to Participate… If you are a part of a non-profit organization that is interested in operating a Summer Feeding Program for 2016, please contact Dayton Public Schools Nutrition Services Summer Program Coordinator, Monica Wilson, or her at dps.k12.oh.us.
