A belief that one’s country needs to be protected against immigrants
Includes an extreme dislike or hatred of immigrants

7. Why did Nativism Strengthen after WWI?
During and after WWI Americans became prejudice against all immigrants
Immigrants were blamed for many problems in society (unemployment, strikes, recession)
