2. Trigonometry Used in The Military:
A little known fact is that about 80% of all armed occupations have a civilian form. For example paralegal is the miltary equivalent of a lawyer.
One of the things that the article talked about was waves. Music travels in waves and believe it or not but the military has a full orchrestra including trombone players Clarinet players bassoon players and many more musical occupations.

3. Continued:
Waves are not only important in music but in radar sonar and radio communications. All of these are important in the military. Sonar is particularly important to submarines. It detects objects and how fast they are traveling. This is important in order to avoid hitting other submarines ships, underwatter terrain and enemies. Submarines don't ussually use sonar to navigate but they can in shallow waters. Sonar even has two diffrent classifications: active and passive.

4. Radar
Radar uses radio waves to determine size direction and speed of an object. It has a wide range of uses including guided-missile target locating systems and flight control.
Engineering
One of the articles also mentioned the use of trigonometry. In engineering, the military has various engineer jobs including watercraft and aircraft engineer.

5. We were interested in this particular article because it had the most information on how trigonometry had a key role in the military. It also contained many ways trigonometry was used in the military, not just one.

6. What we Learned..
We learned that trigonometry is used in various ways in the military, who would of known that trigonometry is used in music?
