Tier 3 Evidence of teachers and students as influencers on the world beyond the classroom. 6 5 4 3 2 1 Transforms learning by instructional design & access to resources Tier 2 Evidence of organization and instructional design that supports students as constructivist learners Engages and supports learners outside the classroom Tier 1 Evidence of instructional integration Use to Expand or Extend learning Post instructional support with some interactive/collaborative resources Some evidence of Instructional integration Teacher Use of technology tools to engage, instruct and/or inform learning. 2 Goal #1: Evidence of Use to Expand or Extend Learning
Teacher utilize their course site as a communication tool for student and parents to supplement instructional activities and resources beyond the classroom. Activities may include but are not limited to the following : Posts instructional expectations Posts teacher contact information Posts resources such as handouts, newsletters or other documents distributed in the classroom Posts current classroom activities using a page or calendar Posts website resources used to support the learner and/or instructional content (i.e. DiscoveryEducation, WorldBook, textbooks, etc.) Shares evidence of student learning (i.e. gallery, photowalk, etc) Keeps electronic grades and shares

3 Goal #2: Engages and supports learner outside the classroom
Teachers utilize their course site to allow for student collaboration and/or interaction using a variety of tools as well as classroom communication Activities may include but are not limited to the following: Use of discussion forums for student connection and collaboration Use of rich media resources to engage learners and enhance understanding Incorporates PUSD Google Drive activities with some interaction between students Designs content which supports specific projects or student activities Incorporates some web 2.0 tools

4 Goal #3: Transforms learning through instructional design that supports students as creators of new knowledge. Teachers use their course site to engage students collaboratively. They allow student to use a variety of tools to demonstrate learning. Activity may include but is not limited to the following: Uses discussion forums and Wiki Pages for authentic peer to peer learning Integrates cloud-based tools to design collaborative group projects that may include connections beyond the district Constructs learning experiences using the resources of MyConnect as well as other tools to design content which supports specific projects or student activities Incorporates web 2.0/3.0 tools that students will use to demonstrate learning (i.e., MIT Scratch, Discovery Boardbuilder, Padlet) Incorporates the use of student portfolios for showcasing and peer review.
