9 The movement of American Cinema
In the 1960s, Hollywood had previously been churning out tired themes and profit-orientated films. The auteur was given a chance to shape the film with New American cinema in the early to mid 70s. Unfortunately it didn’t last and the Age of Blockbuster arrived.
